Paolo Galantini

Professor of Interior Architecture and Interior Design at the School of Engineering of the University of Pisa, where he also held the course of Urban Design and Furniture until 2018. He graduated in 1987 from the University of Pisa and subsequently also trained in the field of energy saving by attending Casa Clima courses.

Since 1991 he has been the owner of Studio Galantini based in Pisa. In his activity as a designer he undertakes to operate at all design scales, finding a valid synthesis between urban design and furniture design through interior design as well.

He designs and follows the creation of the collection of tables, stools and chairs used in Mars 2112 ”Theme restaurant in New York and Chicago (USA); over many locations in Italy.

In 2009 he teaches the MASP08 Master's Degree in Public Space Project and from 2011 to 2015 he is Visiting Professor at the Albanian University of Tirana (AL).

In 2014 he won the WT SMART CITY AWARD, for Smart Milan city.

He participates in numerous national and international competitions, being first classified in the competition for Piazza Martiri della Libertà in Cascina (PI), with assignment, and is mentioned in the "Red Hook Bicycle Master Plan Design and Peace Pentagon competition in New York (USA), as well as second place in the competition for Piazza Viviani in Marina di Pisa (PI) and Urban redevelopment of Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Tropea (VV).

In 2017 he won the Redevelopment of the central area of Agrate Brianza in Agrate Brianza (MB) with subsequent assignment and the Redevelopment of the Monte Attu school complex in Tortolì (NU), always with assignment.
